Migration x Climate is our new series of school workshops that aim to bring students together to discuss and understand the connections between climate change, migration, and global inequalities. We are collaborating with schools in Berlin and Brandenburg.
These workshops are co-organized with Dr Adam Levy, known as Climate Adam on YouTube. Adam is a climate scientist whose educational videos make complex climate topics accessible to broad audiences. Together, we will lead interactive workshops introducing students aged 14 to 18 to new perspectives and voices on the intersection of climate change and migration. We will explore the different forms of climate related mobility, including our understanding of the category ‘climate refugees’, consider perspectives from the Global South, and discuss why affected regions are still underrepresented in the climate policy debates. These workshops are designed for students to exchange on these topics, hear new perspectives, and reflect on their own role regarding climate justice.
Workshops are currently taking place between Sept 2026 and June 2027 and are free of charge. They can be held in both English or German and can last between 90 minutes and 4 hours.
