Nassim Majidi

Nassim Majidi

Dr. Nassim Majidi is the co-founder and executive director of Samuel Hall, specializing in durable solutions to displacement. Since 2007, she has led research on migration across Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Somalia, and the Horn of Africa. Based in Nairobi, Majidi works on climate change and displacement with the Hugo Observatory at the University of Liège and leads a study on gender, climate, and mobility with UNDP’s Resilience Hub, with a feminist coalition building exercise to be launched at COP29. Nassim holds a PhD from Sciences Po Paris, and a MA in International Affairs and Development Studies from Cornell University.

Priscilla Achapka

Dr. Priscilla Achakpa is the founder and global lead of the Women Environmental Programme (WEP), a regional women-focused organization with headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. With over 25 years of experience, she has held many positions at the national and international levels working in the area of gender, environment, and climate change. Achapka is the recipient of several awards including Ashoka Fellows, ECO Ambassador, Deutsche Welle, and Vogue Magazine’s Climate Change Warriors. Achakpa has held roles with UNOPS, was National Coordinator for WSSCC from 2012-2019, and served as Special Adviser to Nigeria’s Minister of Environment from 2021-2022.
